Me Stéphanie Destrempes is a partner at Cain Lamarre's Montreal office, where she mainly practices in franchise law, commercial and transactional law, as well as bankruptcy and insolvency. Known for her leadership and commitment, she has been supporting businesses in their growth, development, and transformation projects for over 15 years. She is also very active in her business community, particularly with the Quebec Franchise Council, where she serves on the Board of Directors and helped create the Women in Franchise committee.
Her involvement with Heart and Stroke is deeply personal. In 2025, while she was abroad for work, Stéphanie herself suffered a stroke, without showing the symptoms usually associated with this condition. Although she now lives with some permanent unseen aftereffects, she appreciates every day the luck she had to receive the necessary care and to be able to continue living an active life. This significant experience adds to several challenges related to cardiovascular diseases experienced within her family, including the death of her father, as well as in her circle of friends and professional environment.
Aware that these realities can affect any of us and that no one is immune, she chose to get involved as an ambassador for the Red Dress Gala 2027 to raise awareness about this issue, encourage heart disease and stroke prevention, and support research.
